Caroline's "School"
One afternoon recently, I was busy doing some things in the kitchen while Caroline played. I realized that she had been entertainig herself for a while, so I decided to see what she was up to. I walked in the back to discover that she had arranged a very large group of animals in the chairs and was standing up talking to them. I asked her what she was doing, and she said "having school." I thought it was really cute that she had come up with the idea of school and positioned all of the animals by herself. And I love how she has some of the animals sitting in others laps (note the beaver in the panda bear's lap). The top picture is the original set-up.... some of them fell during our efforts to capture the moment. I just thought this was so clever and amusing!
Summer School
Catherine has officially started school. The girls go together two days a week during June and July. Catherine seems to be adjusting to the transition well.... only a few tears at drop-off time. Caroline has been a very helpful big sister, and even asked to go to Catherine's class on the first day to check on her. Mom is enjoying her 10 hours a week of quiet around the house!
